I went to the doctor this a.m. and little Charlie has dropped a bit! This must explain the constant up and down all night feeling like he's coming any minute! But we're still on schedule for middle to end of April for having him. I met a new doctor today (we're trying to meet everyone in the practice) and I really liked her! I think I like her more than my regular doctor, so that's good news!
I am getting nervous and excited, all at the same time. I wish I could just take him out right now and look at him, to know he is okay.....but that would be kind of weird I guess? The nesting phase has sort of hit me.........never been one to LOVE cleaning, but I am getting into it. This weekend I plan to wash all his clothes and get them organized so I can put them in his dresser (that doesn't exist yet, but hopefully will soon!!).
Okay, that's it thus far!

Kicking It Low VOC Style
Last weekend we began our assault on getting the baby room ready. Fortunately, a few friends from work came by and helped out and made it less of a chore (thanks again guys).
So Charlie's room is about 80% there. We've got his crib built (Katie helped with that), bookshelf assembled (we got SO many great books from the shower, we are considering opening a library branch in our home) and of course the room all painted (with low VOC paint of course).
And Katie's parents were kind enough to aid in probably the most important installment of a baby room - the rocking chair. It's even got a nice creak to it!
Feel free to take the tour (they are a bit fuzzy, I had the flash turned off):

Charlie Bit Me!!
Not our Charlie - but one that likes to bite things. Some advice to the older kid: If Charlie bit you the first time, he's probably going to bite you again if you put your finger in his mouth.
OK, So I Lost $10 - To Myself!!

And now that the big day is getting closer, I am going to get a little serious about the blog. Katie is now almost 7 weeks away from giving birth to little Charlie. She is feeling good for the most part and has had the occasional attack of braxton hicks (sp?). How did that name come to be anyway? Probably something we missed in our last birthing class.
Her belly is starting to get those weird movements and bulges that make you think an alien is going to pop out at any moment and run across the table.
Katie had the shower to end all showers two weekends ago, and boy are we blessed! We received so many great things for the little guy - he now officially has more outfits than Katie and he's not even born yet. Many many thanks to all who organized and came - you really made us feel so loved.
